Impulse response files are experienced differently depending on how strongly the audio signal is colored by them.

 

The impulse response files are applied to the presented sounds with varying intensity, ranging from 25% to 80% of the pre-recorded sounds. Sometimes, there may be an excess of room resonance in the presented audio, which is done to create a good sense of the room.

Distances at the Recording Locations

The distances at the recording locations vary. Most impulse response files were captured from 3 to 10 meters away from the microphones (and you as the listener). This varies from place to place, so sounds from certain locations may seem closer while others may sound a bit farther away.

Formats 

​

The sounds presented here on the site are in stereo with true-stereo impulse response files (in some cases, binaural files). The software used to apply the impulse response files to the sounds included Logic Pro X, Space Designer, and Audio Ease Altiverb.
